The TSA is Coming - what will the TSA mean for ALMO tenants? From April the Tenant Servicees Authority (TSA) will regulate ALMO's as well as Housing Associations and tenants will have new opportunities to influence decision-making. Learn about the powers of the new regulator, and what it expects from housing organisations. Leeds Tenants Federation

IT for Beginners -  A six week course for complete beginners. A chance for the complete beginner to get started on computers and quickly get online, use e-mail and learn the basics of IT with the help of our wonderful tutor. Leeds Tenants Federation Thursday 11 March, 1.30 - 3pm for six weeks
Local Standards - The new TSA framework and how to develop it with landlords All ALMO's and Housing Associations will have to agree local standards of service with their tenants, and give their tenants power to monitor performance. Tenant Scrutiny - What is resident-led regulation? Co-regulation will be replacing inspection as the chief was the TSA keeps a check on housing organisations. The TSA expects landlords to enable their tenants to scrutinise performance. Learn about tenant scrutiny, how it works and how you can set it up with your landlord. Leeds Tenants Federation

Tuesday 27 April, 10am - 12.30pm

The Future of Social Housing - How did it all start and where is it going? Social housing is rationed and stigmatised and always under attack. Tey it has given millions the chance of decent housing and new opportunities. What is the role of social housing, why does it get such bad press? Learn about the latest threat to security of tenure and find out if social housing still has a future. Leeds Tenants Federation

Tuesday 4 May, 10am - 12.30pm

Who's really in charge? - Learning to be a Tenant Director Over 2000 tenants are directors of housing companies sharing responsibility for running the organisation. What does it take to be a tenant director, how much say does it giove you and how much difference can you make on the management board of a housing company? Leeds Tenants Federation
