ALMOs are allowed to spend a percentage of the Decent Homes funding on Environmental Improvements. We have invested £1.6 million on a range of Environmental Improvements in your communities. These included:
- Improving security
- Improving garages sites
- Treatment of open spaces and+ landscaping
- Hedge maintenance
- Installing parking bays
- Improving areas around shops
- Creating Community Gardens
- Installing/replacing fencing and gates
- Improving footpaths and paving
One of our strategic objectives as an ALMO is to:
"Provide quality well maintained homes and environments"
In 2007 we signed a two year partnership with Groundwork Leeds and plan to invest a further £1.3 million on a range of environmental improvements in the Aire Valley Homes area.
Please visit the Groundwork Leeds website to find out more about their work.
