Aire Valley Homes Leeds have made the Welcome Home film to provide information for new tenants.
The film gives a lot of really useful information. It contains sections about:

the tenancy agreement;

tenants rights and responsibilities;

introductory and assured tenancies;

moving in and the final fix process;

gas safety and servicing;
-
permission for alterations and possible recharges;

getting involved in decision making via area panels or tenants associations;

what to do about neighbour nuisance, ASB and hate crime;

details about sheltered housing and the Care Ring alarm system;

the different ways to pay rent;

claiming housing benefit;

help if you get into difficulties with paying your rent;

Leeds City Credit Union;
-
the home contents insurance scheme that has been arranged by Leeds City Council.
Copies of the Welcome Home film will be provided on DVD to all new tenants. If you would like to view a copy of the film they are available from any of our Neighbourhood Housing Offices or One Stop Centres.
